bought my very first body scrub, AQUA RINE PEACH, yesterday at VENUS.
at first i went over to watson to see. they were selling it at $10.80.
then i rem seeing the same product at VENUS, which is just a few doors away.
they were selling only $8.60. saved $2.20.
bought one for Xueling and myself, we both totally loving it!!!!

love the feel of the scrub.
and this scrub is gentle enough, you can use it on your body and even on face.
the scrub works good, leaving the skin feeling really clean and smooth.
i really love it.
next i'll be trying the milk flavor.



had dinner at friends@jelita on 18 may 2011.
tried the restaurant because we actually bought the dining vouchers from deal.com.sg.
the deal was $19.90 for 4 course meal.
the disappointing fact is that they did not knowledge and bear their responsibility for publishing the wrong information on the deal.com.sg website.
we bought the deal at $19.90 for 2 starters, main course (including STEAKS) and desert.
when we reach there, the menu wrote that we got to top up another $5++ should we want our main course to be steak.

honestly, other than the company of friends, restaurant's ambiance and the main course, the place wasn't even worth going.




the starter; hair pasta.
this was shit!!!!!!! the portion was SMALL, i'm not sure is it because of the price we are paying.
and it tasted like kerosene.




mushroom soup. quite bland. but better than the ones i had at pasta inc.
the portion was SMALL too.
they served it in the cup for tea. yeah that small.




medium done-ness steak.
not bad.
the only one that is worth going for.
i like it when they don't have too much sauce on it.
just the real good taste of the beef :)

Okay, here comes the officially review on the Braun epilator, silk epic 7 xpressive pro.



What is an epilator?
In my own layman explanation, It's an electrical device use to help you to remove hair from the roots. Instead of you using a tweezer to pull the hair out, an epilator actually has like 40 tweezers at very high speed helping you to pull the hair out! So awesome!!!!


How I came upon to buying my first epilator?
I am a regular to shaving ( my legs) And yeah it's true that shaving makes the hair thicker. So I can't stop shaving cause the hair grows back pocky and I dislike the feeling.
Plus frequent shaving actually makes the skin dry and sometimes itchy.
Then one day, I forgotten how I chanced upon this amazing device, the epilator.
Then I started stalking epilator online, googling and watching YouTube review.
Watching the YouTube review, I would say is the best choice.
You see how ppl praise the use of an epilator and how the first time user scream during their first time usage. Haha!
I have to admit that I was real scare, to even think of buying an epilator for myself.
But for the sake of beauty, I thought it was all worth it.


There's actually 2 common brand of epilator selling in Singapore, Phillis and Braun.
I chose Braun silk epi 7because the sales lady at courts recommended. But I was thinking, Aiya probably because it's the most costly, at $189, thus her commission is higher.
But I totally never regret getting this brand.
Even in YouTube, most people says praises for this Braun epilator.
Braun claims to be probably the first epilator that can help to epilate the shortest hair, at only 0.5mm





How was it like epilating for the very first time?
I got my epilator on Vesak day 2011.
I was so excited with my purchase, (FINALLY) after all the researching and stalking on this product.
So I was home at about 10pm, can't help it but turn it on to try it on my leg, just on a little area.
Holy shit!!!
I seriously have not experience such pain before.
Even the tatto-ing of my finger wasnt that bad!
But it's a good $189 which I've paid, so yeah I definiely got to use it.
The next morning I woke up one hour earlier than usual, just to epilate my legs.
I endured, clutched My first, hold my leg real tight and then started "torturing" myself with the epilator.
This time round it ain't that pain anymore, plus thinking of the smooth and hairless result just excite me.



The Braun epilator, which came with 5 different sets of epilating functions.
For the facial, legs, underarms, bikini line and for shaving.



Would I recommend the Braun epilator to you?
Yes definitely!!
It's a NO regret. This epilator is a beauty savior, especially for people out there who is a regular to shaving.
The regrowth of the hair is not as thick and is not as fast.
I guess the duration of its growth was delayed for a good 5x compared to the usual traditional shaving method.
Though the very first time of epilating can be torturous but it's all worth it, And it's only for the first time.
Because the growth after that is a lot slower, so your subsequent epilating experience is a lot mild.
Epilating the underarm is so easy too. And not forgotten with the help of the 40 tweezers, it's a lot faster!
Epilating the underarm for me is not painful at all, because I tweet my underarms.

It's totally awesome!
Nothing to complain about this beautiful place, except for its steep charges in the resort, Kinda expensive.
But it's already expected, so yeah. Haha!
They accept sing dollars here and thus everything is price like sing.
E.g. Renting of a DVD at $2 each, Room service food with 10% service charge and 11% government tax, taxi out to town at $20 for single way.

But I really love the villa.
Pretty Cozy and the theatre home system is good.
I can even cook some bites to eat.

I've woke up early this morning to torture myself using this little monster.
The sound it produces is real scary.
Like anytime, it's gg to cut u up.
I endured the pain today and I'm really proud of myself going through the whole process n completed my 2 legs. ;) thumps up!
I can't deny the pain is definitely bearable, thus u just need some courage.
N there's certain part of the leg that hurt a hell lot more, like razor cutting u.
But I'm definitely in love with this epilator already .

what do you do when you know your friend is diagnose with cancer?
when he/she just suddenly seems so soul-less.
his/her eyes are blank, always staring in the blank.
and sadly, he is still young!

on the consolation part, i heard that this kind of cancer can be cured.

but it's the going through of the pain and agony,
handling of the emotional part that i think really needs a lot of courage and motivation.

he/she keeps things to himself and even if speaks, only mutters some words, or simply just nod his head.
it's the pain i see in him/her that i can't help, makes me feel upset.

i am bubbly, crack jokes and talk cock to him/her often.
but after this happen,
things changed.
i don't have the courage to go forward to console him/her to make him/her feel better.
but instead, i swallow my words every time.

i really wish i can help.
say some encouraging words to him/her, BUT i really don't know what to say.

i pray for him/her to recover fast.
and for his/her mind to be free from worries,
and to embrace life to the fullest :)

But anyway, that was a small issue.
the rest of it covered this small flaw.
the service crew and managers were really helpful, attentive and service-oriented.
food was pretty decent and most of all,
everyone had fun :)
