food review:
went feasting on both good friday and saturday.
Good friday at Pasta Inc and Seafood Paradise on saturday.
i would describe these 2 feasts as HELL and HEAVEN.
Pasta Inc: 35 keong saik road (HELL)
never trust too much on food reviews by hungrygowhere man!
pasta inc was 75% recommended by the site but HELL it's like totally disappointing.
you can get better pasta from coffee bean ( my favourite place for yummy pasta) lah.
ok, so the total bill was $115.
we ordered 2 appetizer, 1 mushroom soup and pasta each for the main.
the mushroom soup tasted practically like water with mushroom flavoring.
totally cannot make it. you definitely can get better soup with campbelle. ha! :(
appetizer 1: Fresh scallops cooked with béchamel sauce, topped with parmesan cheese.
it looks damn yummy.
but the disappointment came when i put it into my mouth.
WTH. the scallops are not even fresh.
doesn't have any taste on its own, if not for the sauce :(
appetizer 2: Portobello mushrooms baked with mixed cheese, finished with a dash of tomato sauce.
hmmm.... so so. slightly below average!
not salty enough. very bland! :(
main course: was hoping the pasta can save the day.
but i'm afraid it didnt.
my squid ink seafood pasta was like super disappointing.
it just tasted salty, thats all.
and the salty taste is from the lah-lah in the pasta.
thats all i tasted. salty pasta.
apart from all these downside, the ambiance and service staff at pasta inc are all very good.
Seafood Paradise: Singapore Flyer (HEAVEN)
has the most expensive crab of my life! because they ran out of the ordinary sri lankan crab.
$196 for one snow crab!
ordered 2. already cost close to $400.
the creamy crab was awesome!!!!
but the crab is not so worth it for the price we paid.
the meat is not tough and the meat kinda shrink after cooking.
ordered dishes like jellyfish appetizer, duck meat, vegetable, scallop yam, drunken prawns, coffee pork.
all damn yummy!!!!!!!!!
no bad comments on that.
jellyfish was very Q and flavour-ish.
duck meat is yummy and good texture.
vegetable is usual and not cook just nice.
scallop yam, good stuff. at least the scallop is tasty (not like pasta inc).
drunken prawns , WOW damn shiok la. i love the soup with hinge of alcohol haha!!!!!!!
coffee pork, texture is good! not too tough.
overall, i like seafood paradise.
but with normal sri lankan crab will be better.
because the snow crab is not worth the price.
the staff there are very friendly and ambiance is classy.

Instead of $2000, we paid just $990.

Hopefully the place turn out fine.
3hrs of free flow and a few varieties of finger food.

Had a haircut yest at jp russell.
